Our Policies & Reservations

Rates

Our base rate for the Guest House is $275 a night for 2 people for all dates but Christmas and Thanksgiving which are $300. (Thanksgiving Nov 20 - 30, Christmas Dec. 20 - Jan 10) The weekly rate for 2 is $1800 and and $2050 per week for Christmas and Thanksgiving. Additional days more than a week but less than 2 weeks will be prorated at the daily rate. For each additional guest there is a $25 per person per night charge added to the base rate. Please add 12.42% tax and an out cleaning fee of $150 (2 people) or $175 (3 people or more). There is a $350 security deposit which is refunded within sixty days of your departure minus any damage or extra cleaning. All damage or extra cleaning will be assessed by our cleaning and maintenance staff.

Availability

Please check our calendar to view the availability of River Estate Guest House. If the dates you are interested in happen to be booked please contact us about alternate accommodations. We'll be happy to go over what we have available with you or find you something nice in the area we think would be suitable for you if we can.

Minimum Stay

There is a five night minimum for all dates other than Thanksgiving and Christmas dates at which time there is a 7 night minimum. We will accept bookings of less than 5 nights if your dates fit into our calendar. Feel free to ask us if you want less than 5 nights or check our calendar to see if we have the dates you want.

Cancellation

Cancellation notice must be received no less than 30 days before check in (60 days before Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays) to receive a full refund of all monies paid to date minus a cancellation fee of 10% or $200 whichever amount is greater. For cancellations within 30 days of arrival (60 days for holiday dates) for which your dates can be re-booked your deposit may be refunded minus the cancellation fee at the sole discretion of the owner. If your dates cannot be rebooked we'll credit you for a future stay. Some guests like to purchase travel insurance to prevent any unforeseen problems spoiling their vacation. Sorry, no refunds for early departure.

Reservation Deposit

A reservation deposit totaling one half the cost of your stay is required to secure the reservation. Deposit must be received within one week of verbal or e-mailed confirmation to hold dates if not paid by credit card. Balance is due 60 days prior to your arrival date.

Car Rentals, Activities & Travel Arrangements

River Estate owns Cheap Hawaii Tickets,Inc which is a full service Hawaii based travel agency. We will be happy to give you a quote on all or any portion of your travel package needs including other accommodations, airline tickets, car rentals or activities on Kauai or any other islands in your itinerary. Please let us know if you would like us to provide a quote for you.

Discounts

Discounts are available for stays longer than 10 days and any dates booked 12 months or more out from the date you make the booking. Specific discounted dates can be seen at the bottom of the home page.
