We're located in one of the last truly unspoiled areas in all of Hawaii in which there has not been, and will not ever be, any resort development. You'll enjoy complete comfort and privacy in one of the last remaining unspoiled areas of the state. Our tropical botanical gardens provide a truly magnificent setting in which you can totally unwind and relax with exotic flowers, fruit trees and exotic specimens of Hawaiian fauna. As you enter the property a whole new world will open up in front of you. You will feel like the world you left behind on your vacation is a thing of the past and you'll discover that there are indeed places where you can literally forget everything and just be yourselves again. As the sounds of the river enters your consciousness you'll gradually realize that you are in one of the most special spots on the planet. The home and location have often been described by our guests as paradise.

The Guest House is tastefully decorated with Balinese furniture and art and is immaculately maintained. It was completely renovated in 2006-7 and remains in like new condition. The meticulously maintained grounds sparkle with vibrant colors that will delight you senses. While in the home you can relax to the sound of the river gently washing over the moss covered stones in the stream. While at the house you can kick back and relax, cook up meals in the gourmet kitchen, check your email or any number of things. You'll hear the exotic bird calls of the Shama Thrush who never seem to be far away and you'll see the night fishing Grey Herons that live along the stream and make appearances all the time. You'll feel as one with nature here and you'll feel recharged as you head out each new day exploring the miracle that is North Kauai.

Our secluded hideaway is exceptionally private and casually elegant and is located on the grounds of River Estate which is a riverfront botanical garden between Hanalei and the northwest end of the island and a short distance upriver from Wainiha Beach. In fact you can actually paddle down the river and back from the house to the beach and into the ocean. Where else can you do that on the north shore of Kauai from a vacation rental? The unique location of this property will allow you to feel like you're in your own private sanctuary yet just outside the estate you'll find all the activities and attractions that North Kauai is famous for.
